Welcome to L3

L3 - Listen, Learn, Lead - is a special project designed to bring meaningful messages to South Dakota 4-H youth - and anyone else who wants to grow as a person. What do you have to do?

A series of four inspiring TED Talks have been selected for youth to listen to and learn from, with the hope that the insight gained will better prepare young people to lead by example in their schools, community, state, country and world. This year's topics highlight happiness, positive thinking, productivity and overcoming fear.

Students are encouraged to watch each of these TED Talks. Watch the talks in a group (4-H Club, Jr. Leaders, other youth group) or with your family and then hold a discussion - think of it similar to a book club. Or if you prefer, watch on your own and ponder the message. Each talk is about 20 minutes in length, and discussion questions to consider are listed below each TED Talk. 

Most importantly, we ask you to use what you learn. Apply it to your own life, share this website with others, or post a comment (or photo of your discussion group) on the L3 Facebook page. We want to know how L3 has helped you grow as a person.
